Airzai is a sleek aromatherapy diffuser with exclusive fragrances, mood lighting, an app-enabled meditation mode, and a vision to use AI to provide a smart home experience.

The startup raised a $5M seed round a few years prior, which at the time was one of the highest ever seed rounds in Canada for a startup - backed by a celebrity artist and a former Google executive. The product itself was designed by the award-winning product designer of the Google Nest, Fred Bould.

I was commissioned to create a process for collaborating on UX copy, which I subsequently did by creating an environment on a virtual whiteboard that brought together the developer, UI designer, brand strategist, and founder. I was responsible for creating all app UX copy, for creating the app store promo messaging, and for cultivating a brand personality that was opulent and tranquil while also being firmly backed by science and the science-based benefits of aromatherapy.
